Background
The Mornington Peninsula is located just over an hour’s drive from the city, on Melbourne's ‘doorstep’, and is often described as Melbourne’s playground. The Mornington Peninsula has a diverse and vibrant local economy including tourism, agriculture, retail, manufacturing, construction and business services. These industries generate $7.2 billion in Gross Regional Product and support more than 48,000 jobs.
