Workshop Facilitator - Expression of Interest

As part of the Support Local program, the Mornington Peninsula Shire provides opportunities for skilled and enthusiastic workshop facilitators who are looking to support our local businesses.

Each year, we invite facilitators to submit an expression of interest to participate in our workshop program over the following 12 months.

Expressions of interest for 2022-2023 are now open.

The workshop program has been established to assist businesses by providing information, new learnings and business skill development. The EDU is interested in helping businesses work on their business instead of in their business. Topics previously covered include building business capacity and growth, cash-flow, staff management, commercialising concepts, on-line marketing and general information on best practice.

We are currently particularly interested in supporting businesses through the challenges they will face in the post COVID-19 environment.

Background

The Mornington Peninsula is located just over an hour’s drive from the city, on Melbourne's ‘doorstep’, and is often described as Melbourne’s playground. The Mornington Peninsula has a diverse and vibrant local economy including tourism, agriculture, retail, manufacturing, construction and business services. These industries generate $7.2 billion in Gross Regional Product and support more than 48,000 jobs.

Economic Development Unit

The Economic Development Unit (EDU) works with potential, new and existing local businesses to build business capacity, foster economic development and help business to grow and prosper. We offer a range of business development services including workshops, webinars, mentoring and one on one assistance and referral.

Following on from the success of our inaugural Local Experts program in 2021, the EDU is seeking to build on its workshop and webinar offering and invites applications from experienced and professional individuals or groups interested in being workshop facilitators for the July 2022 to June 2023 period.

Expression of Interest

We are looking for Expressions of Interest from facilitators who have practical business experience, excellent knowledge of their subject matter and expertise in delivering workshops to businesses. If you are interested in working with a diverse range of businesses on the Mornington Peninsula Shire and sharing your knowledge and experience, we would love to hear from you!
