UPDATE: 2/12/20:

This opportunity is oversubscribed and is now closed. The response has been overwhelming, and the team will be in touch as the program rolls out with a selection from each township from those that have expressed an interest.

As part of the Shire’s Support Local campaign, we are looking for interested local businesses to be part of a photo shoot that showcases local people involved in local business. We are looking for images that can represent a wide range of business types, sectors and locations. The photo shoot will take place progressively over the next few months and the resulting images will be used to promote the Support Local campaign in print and digital formats.

Completing an EOI is not a guarantee of inclusion, and the final selection of businesses will be based on creating a balance of subject matter and timetabling restrictions. People to be included in the photo shoot must complete Shire Photography Release Forms prior - these will be supplied. The photo shoot is conducted at no monetary cost to the business, but direction will be given for appropriate clothing to be worn and props that may be required.

Please note that there are no guarantees that the business will be named when the image is used.

Through the Support Local campaign, the Mornington Peninsula Shire urges everyone – community members, organisations and businesses – to consider how they spend, recommend and utilise local services.  Whether it’s shopping in new ways locally, engaging local tradespeople or exploring our own backyard with new eyes – our community can make a difference.

Our businesses are a critical part of what makes this region unique. Innovation and the ability to pivot through challenge has been essential and many have demonstrated both resilience and creativity in their connection to customers and community. The Shire applauds this innovation and excellence.

As a local business you can visit mpbusiness.com.au/supportlocal to order your free Support Local sticker to let your customers know you are open for business. While there, explore more handy hints on supporting local and take the opportunity to add a free business listing to the Mornington Peninsula business directory.

Stay well in a COVID safe summer as we get back to business.
