Community funding is an investment in our Peninsula. It builds capacity and encourages community-led initiatives or partnerships that benefit the community. The 2022 Grants and Funding available to businesses includes:

Business Development Grant

Purpose: To enable business growth and improvements
Open: 13 July 2022 to 12 September 2022
Value: Eligible businesses may seek up to $5,000
Eligibility: Only businesses with the equivalent of 5 full time staff or less are eligible to apply (sole traders can apply)

Climate Action Grant

Purpose: Deliver carbon emissions reduction partnerships to achieve the Climate Emergency Plan's goal of net zero emissions by 2040
Open: 13 July 2022 to 12 September 2022
Value: Eligible applicants may seek up to: Minor Grant: Up to $ 5,000, Major Grant: $5000 up to $10,000
Eligibility: Climate Action Grants are open to businesses with up to 20 full time equivalent (FTE) staff or less to be eligible

Community Events Grant

Purpose: To enable community participation and celebrations
Open: 13 July 2022 to 4 June 2023 or until funds are exhausted
Value: Eligible applicants may seek up to $10,000
Eligibility: Eligible organisations include, Incorporated Associations, Not For Profits (NFP), Registered Charities, commercial businesses, Sole Traders and individuals (for this purpose may be an artist or producer) where specified

Creative Economy Grant

Purpose: To build creativity, cultural capacity and vitality in our communities
Open: 13 July 2022 to 12 September 2022
Value: Eligible applicants may seek up to $10,000
Eligibility: Eligible organisations include, Incorporated Associations, Not For Profits (NFP), Registered Charities, commercial businesses, Sole Traders and individuals (for this purpose may be an artist or producer) where specified

Heritage Grant

Purpose: To preserve and restore places listed in the Heritage Overlay in the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme
Open: 13 July 2022 to 5 March 2023 or until funds are exhausted
Value: Eligible applicants may seek up to up to $5,000 for a minor grant and, more than $5,000 for identified major works
Eligibility: Applications are open to owners of places listed in the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme with a Heritage Overlay

Purpose: To support major economic, cultural and social impact through large scale events
Open: 13 July 2022 to 12 September 2022
Value: Eligible applicants may seek up to $25,000
Eligibility: Eligible organisations include, Incorporated Associations, Not For Profits (NFP), Registered Charities, commercial businesses, Sole Traders and individuals (for this purpose may be an artist or producer) where specified
