The Mornington Peninsula Shire's Best Bites program recognises excellence in local food businesses on measures they are taking to provide safe and healthy food; how they use environmentally sustainable business practices; and how they are providing safe and accessible food premises.

How can my business be featured in the Best Bites Food Guide?
The Mornington Peninsula Shire's Best Bites Food Guide is published online. Businesses that meet at least one of the five areas of excellence in their program assessment can be included in the Guide.
How does my business enter the Best Bites Food Awards?
The Best Bites Food Awards celebrate excellence in local food businesses. Entry is free and simply requires judges to conduct a short site visit. There are nine business categories and multiple levels of awards up for grabs.
How can my business be a part of the Best Bites People's Choice Awards?
Nominations for the Best Bites People's Choice Awards are open over summer and are a great opportunity for community members to champion excellence in their favourite local food businesses.
Best Bites Resources
The Shire conducts an annual information session for all food premises about the Best Bites program. It includes simple ways to give your business the 'best bite' as well as a chance to learn from what other business have tried and found successful.
